I’ve always loved pictures. It is incredible to me that we can click a button and save what we’re seeing right then, forever. I picked up my first professional camera when I was headed for Uganda one summer. I was working with a non-profit that asked me to capture some images while I was there. That summer, I started to see how photography could be used to tell people’s stories. I saw how a photo could connect people in small town America with people in rural Africa, and I was hooked.
I got to see first hand how special it was to have the role of photographing the biggest day of two people’s lives. I found that my ability to get to know people could be used to tell their love story. Nothing brings me more joy than giving you the gift of images to show your future grandchild the time you and your best friend decided to commit to each other. I want them to see the smile you had when you first saw your future forever or your grandparents shimmied onto the dance floor.
