MY APPROACH HAS CHANGED A LOT IN 200+ WEDDINGS. MY PRIORITIES HAVEN'T.
I PICKED UP MY FIRST PROFESSIONAL CAMERA WHILE TRAVELING WITH A NONPROFIT. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I UNDERSTOOD HOW MUCH IMPACT A SINGLE IMAGE COULD HAVE.
The subject changed, but what interested me about photography didn't. A single frame could hold so much: the people who were there, the relationships between them, and details that might otherwise be forgotten.
More than 200 weddings later, that's still what I'm looking for. I want to make beautiful photographs, of course, but I also want them to say something about the people in them.
